Brekkutún 6, Hoyvík
A permanent exhibition about Faroese natural and cultural history, and includes sections from geology, botany, zoology, archeology, folk-life, and history.
The exhibition exhibition displays the most important and most basic that we have in common, and that we have to maintain and care for, namely the natural and cultural heritage of the Faroe Islands.
Natural history and cultural history are intertwined in the exhibit. Nothing in nature or culture is static. Nature affects culture, and culture affects nature. New knowledge and scientific results come into sight, and the exhibit is therefore a process.
